Welcome to Henge Education! We are a private training organisation operating from Alice Springs and Darwin in the Northern Territory offering quality, 'boutique' style adult education. Our core business is to deliver face-to-face training and education to nurses and health and community care workers. However, we have many short courses, such as first aid and manual handling, that are equally relevant to other occupations and fields of service. Being small and flexible we are able to be responsive to organisational needs and work with managers in a consistent manner to achieve desired training outcomes.
We have a strong emphasis on the delivery of education from a rural and remote perspective thereby ensuring all of our students, regardless of their occupation, have the edge when it comes to working in isolated, often resource deficient and challenging environments. This means the courses:
- teach self sufficiency and resourcefulness
- include specialist skills and knowledge
- develop skills in assessment and primary diagnosis
- have a strong emphasis on cultural safety
- are taught by people who know the rural context of practice
Henge Education works under licence to Carers Training Centre and State Training Services, two South Australian based registered training organisations. This means that qualifications achieved are nationally recognised and meet all regulatory and professional requirements.
